Merlo TSR 1840 – Articulated telescopic forklift for demanding applications

Our Merlo TSR 1840 rotary telescopic forklift combines a rotating upper structure, compact design, and off-road capability, making it ideal for construction sites, industrial applications, and warehouses. With a maximum lifting capacity of 4,000 kg, it safely lifts loads while reaching a lift height of up to 18.10 m and a lateral reach of 14.50 m.

The 415° swivel range allows for flexible operation, and thanks to its diesel all-wheel drive, the TSR 1840 can maneuver precisely even on uneven terrain. Its compact width of 2.30 m (4.30 m in the working position), a length of 7.80 m, a height of 3.10 m, and a weight of 13,500 kg ensure stability and safe handling. Even on slopes of up to 45%, the telescopic forklift maintains its full performance.

The 1.20-meter-long forks make the TSR 1840 a versatile machine for lifting and transport tasks on construction sites, in warehouse construction, steel construction, or industrial settings. The comfortable cab provides the operator with optimal visibility and easy operation—ensuring maximum efficiency in every application.

Telescopic forklifts, sometimes also called telescopic loaders or telescopic machines, are frequently used onconstruction sites andcan even beoperatedonpublic roadswith an L-class driver’s license. A wide variety of attachments ensuresversatile applicationsin lifting and material handling. Rotating telescopic forklifts are particularly efficient because they can pick up and unload loads over short distances without necessarily having to be repositioned multiple times. Especially on uneven terrain, theseall-terrain telescopic machinesare ideal for conveniently transporting heavy loads from point A to point B. Compared to using a crane to lift loads, the reduced training requirements for telescopic forklift operators are another major advantage! The course to obtain a certification to operate a crane takes 5 days. The course for rigid telescopic handlers, however, takes only 1–2 days, and the additional training for rotary telescopic handlers takes just one more day. This means you can train your staff to operate telescopic handlers with less time and at a lower cost than with a crane. By the way, our training center offers both courses.
