Hagen Training Center · Also available as in-house training · In accordance with DGUV Regulation 68 · Includes BG certification of competence and a certificate

Anyone who operates a forklift or telescopic handler at work needs documented training and a written authorization from their employer—commonly referred to as a forklift license. We offer training at our own training center in Hagen, or at your facility upon request: Forklift training, basic telescopic handler training, as well as additional courses for rotating upper structures and for use with a work basket. The advantage of a training center operated by a rental company: Training is conducted on actual equipment from our current rental fleet, not on demonstration models. For businesses and individuals alike.

The training provides practical instruction on safety regulations, accident prevention, and operating techniques. The legal requirements are set forth in DGUV Regulation 68.

The goal of this training is to ensure that your team can operate forklifts safely and identify hazards early on. Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive aBG certification of qualification as well as a certificate.

How much does a forklift operator's license cost?

€198 per person plus sales tax · Volume discounts for groups of 2 or more; €152 for groups of 8 or more · meals included

How long does the training last?

The forklift training course typically lasts 1 day (from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.). Depending on the operators’ prior knowledge, a second day of training may be required. The training is divided into theoretical and practical instruction. The practical portion is conducted using a standard counterbalanced forklift (front-loading forklift). Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate of qualification for operating counterbalanced forklifts (front-loading forklifts). We are also happy to arrange appointments on short notice according to your preferences. A minimum of 6 participants per training day is required. For training held at our facility, participants are provided with full meals.

What services are included in the in-house training?

With this option, your employees will come to our training center and receive both theoretical and practical instruction from our instructor.

Advantages
  • At our facility, course participants receive full board (breakfast, lunch, and beverages).
  • You don't have to worry about finding a training room or the technical equipment.
  • Our instructor can address all of the students' questions and concerns directly.
  • The hands-on portion can be conducted using one of our forklifts, eliminating the need for additional rental costs.

How long is the proof valid?

The certificate of qualification is valid only within Germany. It does not have an expiration date.

In what language are classes taught?

The course is conducted in German by default, so a good command of spoken and written German is required. For groups of 8 participants, we also offer the training in Polish. Alternatively, for this group size, you can hire an interpreter to provide simultaneous interpretation into the language of your choice. It is important that the interpreter be familiar with translating specialized and technical terms used in the forklift industry. The interpreter may not be a participant in the course at the same time. If you have any further questions on this topic, please feel free to contact us at 02304 / 933 – 588 or by email at Schulung@cramer-arbeitsbuehnen.de.

Can you provide training at our facility?

Upon request, we can also conduct the training—including both theory and hands-on practice—in-house at your company or directly at your construction site. We would be happy to provide you with information about the requirements.

Advantages
  • The course takes place in your familiar surroundings.
  • The hands-on portion can be completed on your own device.
  • You'll save time and money since you won't have to travel to our training center.

What is the difference between a forklift and a telehandler?

Two different courses. A forklift lifts vertically, while a telescopic forklift also lifts forward and over obstacles—which requires its own basic training. For telescopic forklifts with a rotating upper carriage, an additional course is required; for transporting personnel in the work basket, another course is required.
