Fall Protection PPE Training – Working Safely at Heights with Fall Protection PPE
Anyone who works at heights must know how to secure themselves—and how to respond in an emergency. Personal protective equipment against falls from heights provides reliable protection only if it is properly selected, correctly worn, and used safely. That is exactly what we teach in our training courses and safety briefings: hands-on, using real equipment, and in accordance with the applicable DGUV regulations. Annual safety briefings are required—we can conduct them at our training center in Hagen or at your facility.
What Is Covered in the Training
Among other things, participants learn how to select the correct equipment, put it on properly, ensure fall protection in the workplace, and prevent hazards. This training helpsyou reduce the risk of accidents—such as being thrown out of the work basket—and comply with legal safety requirements. The training also covers the proper inspection, storage, and maintenance of personal protective equipment. These requirements are based on DGUV Regulation 112-198, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the rules of the employers’ liability insurance associations for safety and health at work.
With the PSAgA certificate, your employees are fully prepared to perform work at heights safely and in compliance with regulations—whether on construction sites, during maintenance work, or in industrial settings.
Choosing the Right Equipment
Which harness, which lanyard, which length—and why the combination must be appropriate for the work situation.
Apply and check the fit
A harness that's too loose won't provide proper support. You'll put it on during the course itself, and the instructor will check that it fits properly.
Attach and check
What it’s safe to attach things to, what forces the anchor point must withstand—and how to tell when a piece of equipment needs to be taken out of service.
Retain or Collect
In the work basket, the user is restrained; when moving freely at height, the user is caught. This distinction determines the anchor point, lanyard, and length.
