Full-time Truck Driver (m/f/d) for Bridge Inspection Equipment

As a truck driver for bridge inspection equipment at Cramer Arbeitsbühnen, you will safely transport the equipment to the job site, set it up properly on site, and train customers and operating personnel on how to use the equipment safely.

We are a family-owned business that has been in operation for over 64 years, and we rent out nearly 1,700 aerial work platforms, telescopic handlers, forklifts, and bridge inspection equipment.
We are continuously expanding and employ more than 155 people.

Our diverse client base—which includes public-sector clients, companies in industry, the construction sector, and the skilled trades—along with our position as a provider of specialized solutions, makes our business resilient in the face of crises.

With a current fleet of 17 semi-trucks and four single-unit trucks, we transport our equipment to rental customers. We offer regular working hours and pay an hourly wage.

To support our team of drivers, we are looking for you as:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Our bridge inspection equipment is used throughout Germany, but mainly in North Rhine-Westphalia.
  • Our operators transport the equipment to the job site and operate it there in coordination with our clients' bridge inspection engineers. Most of our equipment is operated by two operators.
  • A passenger car is used for local travel. The drivers leave the bridge inspection equipment at the construction site or the nearest highway maintenance depot and drive back to the company’s headquarters in the car, or return to the job site the next day.
  • The daily work hours for local assignments, including car travel, are 9–10 hours.
  • Night and weekend shifts are possible. The corresponding premium pay is provided for these shifts.

What qualifications should you have?

  • Class 2, C, or CE driver's license with several years of driving experience operating heavy trucks. Code 95 (professional driver's qualification) is is not required.

    We transfer an advance payment of €1,500 to our drivers by the 28th of the month. Payroll is processed within the first week of the following month, and the remaining amount is transferred at that time.
